Founder & Lead Consultant
Esi Ribeiro
Esi is an energy-sector executive and business adviser with nearly 20 years of experience spanning operations and engineering, process safety, HSE, asset integrity, environmental management, sustainability, governance and regulatory engagement.
A trained Chemical Engineer, Esi began her career with ExxonMobil in the UK before progressing into technical and leadership roles at Tullow Oil and Ghana Petroleum Mooring Systems. Her experience includes supporting offshore operations, leading multidisciplinary teams, managing engineering and reliability improvement initiatives, strengthening operational risk and assurance frameworks, and engaging with Boards, regulators, government institutions and industry stakeholders.
As Founder of DERA Consult, she brings this blend of technical, operational and executive experience to organisations seeking to develop projects, improve performance, manage risk and strengthen responsible business practices.
Esi's approach is commercially grounded and solutions-oriented. She believes sustainability is most effective when it is embedded in the way a business is designed, financed, operated and governed — rather than treated as a standalone compliance exercise.
